Forwarding Address

What to do if you want to find someone’s forwarding address?

Looking for someone’s Forwarding Address. This situation comes when one of your sent mail is reverted back to you undelivered and you start to think that the person may have moved to a new address, and then you feel the need to know the forwarding address of that person so that you can send further mails to the official forwarding address. OK for that you can get some information from the post master about the forwarding address, but you need to know exactly what process to follow. You need to put a specific sticker on the mail you sent to the old address. You need to put a special text right below the return address exactly as “Address Service Requested” then you can receive the new address of the person. This service is chargeable so you have to pay for that. This makes sure that you send all your next mails to the new address of the receiver. Usually they send back a photocopy of your letter with the new address sticker on the envelope. I am sure now you know how to find those missing addresses you were looking for.

Forwarding Address

If this does not work for you then there is an alternate way to do that, for that you need to go to the Central post office of the address required, there you can fill out a form of Freedom of Information Act Request Form and request the USA forwarding address of the person. This is definitely time consuming as you need to drive to that post office and if it’s far then it’s really troublesome to go to the Central post office to know the forwarding address.

Best way to find forwarding address

As I mentioned above the way to find someone’s US postal address forwarding but this is only possible if they have requested to post office address forward otherwise there is noway to find out their forwarding address.

The person at the post office didn’t know about this type of service, so I just sent the envelope as described with a stamp, but I’m not sure if I’ll get the right results.

Can you just mail the envelope like that and expect a response?

I’ve been told so many things about this from different people working at the USPS I don’t know what to do..
I’ve was told by one worker to print “ADDRESS SERVICE REQUESTED” on mybenvelope under my return address, which I have done (still waiting to see if this works) but then I was told today by another postal worker I must be a business for this to work, my mail carrier told me it should work but there may be a fee, which if fine, but then a 4th postal worker said “Oh No” my letter has to have a bar code for this to work, I can’t just write “address service requested” on mail. So darn!! Who knows what I should do to help me find my friends forwarding address? HELP

How do i get this special sticker I need to put on my envelope to get the forwarding address of someone? I know the post office most likely has something, but what do I ask for when trying to obtain this sticker ? Like I mentioned before, the postal workers have not been very helpful when I’ve asked about what I need to do getting my friends forwarding address. They mostly treat me as if I were asking for some Top Secret info or something. It kinda makes me feel like I’m trying to do something shameful, when all I want is to find someone I care about.
